Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige appeared at Disney’s investor presentation for Disney+ this afternoon. Feige confirmed WandaVision and What If series for Disney+, along with Falcon and Winter Soldier, which was announced earlier in the presentation.
WandaVision will feature Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) reprising their roles from the Marvel Studios movies. WandaVision and other live-action Marvel Studios series on Disney+ will have “major ramifications” on one another and future Marvel Studios movies, according to Feige.
The Marvel boss also said audiences will experience, “the same level of quality you’ve come to expect from Marvel Studios.”
What If will be an animated anthology series featuring MCU actors voicing their characters. Feige highlighted one story that will explore what would have happened if Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) became the super soldier while skinny Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) wore Iron Man-esque armor designed by Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper).
Marvel Studios and Disney previously confirmed a live-action Loki series, starring Tom Hiddleston, late last year. For those keeping score, that is now three live-action series and one animated series Marvel Studios has confirmed for Disney+.
Feige also reiterated the Marvel Entertainment is producing the unscripted series Marvel’s Hero Project and Marvel’s 616.
A Hawkeye series has also been reported, but that was not confirmed today.
