Marvel Studios has found a showrunner for its Loki series on Disney+. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Waldon (Rick and Morty) will write the pilot and serve as the executive producer.
Tom Hiddleston is still expected to star in the series despite rumors suggesting that his primary role might be that of a narrator with a younger actor taking up most of the screen time.
Other actors may still walk in Loki’s shoes, however, as the character is a known shapeshifter. Hiddleston could also provide some narration. THR hears that the series will feature the God of Mischief popping up “throughout human history as an unlikely influencer on historical events.”
Loki is presently dead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but even if there are “no resurrections this time,” he doesn’t need to come out of Avengers: Endgame alive in order for this series to work.
