Black Panther was nominated for two Screen Actors Guilds Awards tonight and won them both. The ensemble that breathed life into Wakanda just won the SAG Award for Oustanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. The stunt team won for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture hours before the ceremony.

Black Panther is the first superhero-based movie to win the SAG Award for Best Ensemble. It was also the first superhero-based movie to ever be nominated in the category.

This is a huge honor for Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Letitia Wright and the rest of the cast. It also makes Black Panther a strong contender to turn its Best Picture Oscar® nomination into a victory. The Screen Actors Guild is the largest voting branch of the Academy.

The Academy Awards will be held on February 24.
