It is wonderful to see Black Panther recognized in so many categories, though it would have been nice to see Ryan Coolger nominated for Best Director. After all, it was his vision that helped guide the film’s success in all of the categories for which it was nominated.
Regardless, the nominations are piling up for Black Panther. In addition to the Golden Globes, the film was honored as one of the year’s best by both the National Board of Review and the American Film Institute. Black Panther: The Album has also received eight Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year.
