We already know that Scarlet Witch is (probably) getting her own limited series on the Disney streaming service. As news breaks about Falcon and The Winter Soldier getting a series together, we have additional details on a major MCU character potentially joining Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) in her show.
Slash Film reports that Vision (Paul Bethany) “will have a large part” in the limited series. The show may even be about the couple rather than being dedicated solely to Wanda. That would make sense considering the couple’s long-term romance in the comics and the budding domesticity we saw in Avengers: Infinity War before it all went to hell.
The only problem is that Vision is currently dead after Thanos (Josh Brolin) ripped the Mind Stone from his forehead in Infinity War. Of course, I’ve always thought that Vision will somehow survive without (or within) the Mind Stone and finish Avengers 4 among the living. Shuri (Letitia Wright) might be able to save him all on her own.
Marvel Studios is producing these limited series for the Disney streaming service, which means we can expect a high level of quality and, for now, radio silence. Marvel isn’t going to discuss any of the studio’s plans beyond Avengers 4 (and Spider-Man: Far From Home) until the A4 is in theaters.
Studio chief Kevin Feige has mentioned a return to San Diego Comic Con in July 2019 after Marvel was absent from Hall H this year. It would not surprise me if Marvel uses SDCC to announce a few movies while saving these limited series for D23 Expo the following month. Disney might as well use their own convention as a launch party for their streaming service, which will go live relatively soon after.
