Ant-Man and the Wasp is out on 4K UHD Blu-ray today. Use your digital redemption code and you’ll have access to a fantastic featurette profiling Marvel Studios’ Visual Development team as they design the characters and environments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park led the team on Ant-Man and the Wasp. Park designed Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) original costume in 2015’s Ant-Man and the variations we’ve seen in Captain America: Civil War and Ant-Man and the Wasp.
As you can imagine, Park went through several iterations before a final look was approved. You can see many of them in the Art of Ant-Man and the Wasp book and today Park has shared one on social media. This design, which was intended for Lang’s trip into the Quantum Realm, allows you to see Paul Rudd’s face, similar to Hank Pym’s (Michael Douglas) Quantum suit.
I’ll always be partial to a more bug-like look for Ant-Man’s helmet, but this is really cool! I wouldn’t mind seeing Scott Lang rock a helmet like this somewhere down the line in the MCU.

Ant-Man alternate suit I designed on #AntManandtheWasp An early idea was floating around that Scott might be going to the Quantum Realm so Peyton wanted me to come up with a Quantum suit & being able to see that pretty Rudd face too😁 Get the movie on digital/Blu-ray today!! pic.twitter.com/LcrBf4bmQe
