Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has led his studio to unprecedented success and the industry is (finally) taking proper notice. Feige is due to be honored by the Producers Guild in January. Before that, however, he will be honored with BAFTA’s Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment.
Feige is one multiple honorees to be celebrated at a ceremony that will be held on October 26. “Kevin has propelled the Marvel brand to new heights, harnessing the very best international talent, with an unprecedented track record of back-to-back success. We are honored to recognize him with this year’s Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment,” said BAFTA Los Angeles Chairman Kieran Breen.
That is accurate and Feige certainly deserves the recognition. Marvel Studios is having their best year ever, with over $4 billion in global box office receipts for the studio’s 2018 offerings.
