Marvel Studios is skipping Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year. While many fans expected the studio host a “farewell appearance” for many Avengers in Hall H, that is not going to happen.

At least that’s what studio president Kevin Feige told Screen Rant at the Avengers: Infinity War press junket earlier today.

“We’re going to do um, of course, Marvel will have a presence there.Marvel Studios will have a presence there only in that there will be 10th-anniversary materials and a 10th-anniversary panel. Not doing Hall H this year.”

The lack of a Hall H appearance by Marvel Studios means there will not be panels for Captain Marvel and Avengers 4. It probably means we will not see a panel for the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, though Sony Pictures still has the option of doing one on their own.

The 10th anniversary panel sounds intriguing, but it will likely be much smaller than the usual Marvel Studios panels. Given that Feige specifically mentioned they are not doing Hall H, Marvel will probably have the anniversary panel in another room like Ballroom 20, or perhaps an even smaller venue at the convention.

I am honestly shocked to hear this news, as I would’ve bet on Marvel Studios doing a big panel that announced the title of Avengers 4 and served as a sendoff for a number of stars. That could still happen in the 10th anniversary panel, but it’s hardly a given.
