Black Panther finished its third weekend just shy of $900 million at the global box office and now it has reached that milestone. With more international receipts coming in and an additional 4.7M at the domestic box office on Monday, director Ryan Coogler’s film now stands at $909M.

The next global milestone is $1B, which Black Panther will hit within the next week as it opens in China. In doing so, Black Panther will be the first standalone superhero franchise to reach that mark with its debut film. It will probably pass The Dark Knight ($1B) globally within that timeframe.

On the domestic front, Black Panther is over $506M and just passed last year’s Beauty and the Beast ($504M) for ninth place all-time. It will move into seventh place within the next week, ahead of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ($532.2M) and The Dark Knight ($534.9M).
