Black Panther is now the fourth highest grossing comic book adaptation at the domestic box office. The $16.3M it earned on Friday raises its North American total to $451.7M. That puts it ahead of The Dark Knight Rises ($448.1M) on the all-time domestic box office rankings for comic book movies.

Black Panther will pass Avengers: Age of Ultron ($459M) to move into third place before the weekend is through. Afterward, it will only trail The Avengers ($623.4M) and The Dark Knight ($534.9M).

By end of day tomorrow, Black Panther will have made close to or possibly over $500M in North America. It continues to show strong holds at the box office, making it a sure bet to pass The Dark Knight. It remains on pace to pass The Avengers.

In the coming weeks, Black Panther could put its domestic total out of reach even for Avengers: Infinity War.
