McDonald’s and Disney are back together and that could lead to some Happy Meals for Marvel fans. After leaving McDonald’s behind in 2006, Disney will return to the fast food giant with movie toys for Happy Meals later this year. Marvel Studios could get in on the fun as soon as next year.

Disney is starting slow with their McDonald’s reunion, offering products from two of the studio’s films this year. The first will be Incredibles 2 in June. That will be followed by Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 in November.

The new agreement includes all of Disney’s studios, however, so we will likely see Happy Meal toys from Disney live-action, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm (Star Wars!), and Marvel Studios.

Disney will distribute two films from Marvel Studios in 2019. Captain Marvel (March 8) and Avengers 4 (May 3). Both could be featured in Happy Meals. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is being distributed by Sony, so it wouldn’t be part of this agreement, but Sony also partners with McDonald’s so perhaps something will be worked out there.

Disney stopped licensing products for McDonald’s Happy Meals in 2006 because the fast food chain wasn’t meeting nutrition guidelines. The Happy Meal menu has evolved since then and will no longer include any combination over 600 calories.

That’s good enough for Disney to do business with McDonald’s again.
