Another day, another record. Black Panther added $14.3M at the domestic box office yesterday. Not counting opening night preview showings, that’s the best Thursday in Marvel Studios history.

Black Panther has now earned $292M in North America, moving past Man of Steel ($291M) on the all-time superhero box office rankings.

The 18th Marvel Studios film is expected to add over $100M to its domestic total this weekend, so it will blow right by several superhero films over the next three days. At the very least, it will finish the weekend in Marvel Studios’ domestic top five.
