L to R: Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian

The Children of Thanos are the generals leading The Mad Titan’s army in Avengers: Infinity War. They will be out in front as hordes of Outriders take on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Most moviegoers will be meeting these relatively new characters for the first time in May, but their voices might sound familiar.

The Children of Thanos were portrayed by actors via performance capture on set, but the identity of the actors who will provide their voices has been kept under wraps. Kevin Feige is still keeping that secret and the truth may only be revealed once we see the film and hear the Children of Thanos speak, as he tells Vulture.

“There are interesting people doing the voices, You’ll probably know when you see the movie.”

Known as the Black Order in the comics, the Children of Thanos were introduced during the Jonathan Hickman-penned Infinity event series in 2013. They were a quintet in the comics, but with Supergiant left out, the Marvel Cinematic Universe iteration will be a fearsome foursome made up of Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, and Cull Obsidian.

Cull Obsidian is known as Black Dwarf in the comics. His cinematic identity pays homage to the Black Order, as Cull Obsidian was the team’s fancier name in Infinity.

I’ve been eager to see the Children of Thanos ever since I first predicted the Black Order would be in Avengers: Infinity War back in 2015. Now I can’t wait to hear them!

Avengers: Infinity War is in theaters May 4.
