The Motion Picture Association of America have given Black Panther its expected PG-13 rating. It is the same rating bestowed upon all Marvel Studios movies thus far, and most superhero movies in general. The rationale behind the rating, however, is a bit different and probably very funny.
Black Panther has been rated PG-13 for “prolonged sequences of action violence, and a brief rude gesture.” I guess that means someone is getting flipped off or otherwise disrespected in the film, which is likely to be a rather funny moment.
In any event, this is the rating we expected, so the only interesting question left is which character is the culprit of the rude gesture?
Black Panther is in theaters February 16 and tickets are on sale now.
