The Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will be in production by the middle of this year, which means it’s time to start crewing up. Jon Watts is returning to direct, but he’ll have a new director of photography and production designer. The MCU Exchange reports that Matthew Lloyd will serve as director of photography while Claude Paré will be the production designer.
Lloyd has been a cinematographer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before. He was the DP on the first season of Daredevil and The Defenders for Marvel Television on Netflix. He also worked on the reshoots for Thor: Ragnarok. Lloyd previously worked as a DP for Watts on Cop Car.
Paré was most recently the production designer on Fox’s upcoming Marvel movie, X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Prior to that he was the production designer on last year’s It for Warner Bros. He also counts Rise of the Planet of the Apes among his credits.
The Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel arrives in theaters July 5, 2019.
