Disney is reportedly closing in on the purchase of several media assets from 21st Century Fox, including Fox’s movie studio. Fans are excited about the possibilities of seeing the X-Men and Fantastic Four in the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even Captain America is pumped!
Chris Evans is (jokingly) ready to pull double duty and unite his two Marvel roles in one movie. Before winning everyone’s heart in as Steve Rogers for Marvel Studios, Evans played Johnny Storm, a.k.a. Human Torch, in the first Fantastic Four film in 2005.
So who do I talk to about a Cap/Human Torch buddy comedy spin-off? I’m thinking Planes, Trains and Automobiles meets Parent Trap. https://t.co/3KRPZOVzq2

Obviously, Marvel Studios is never going to ask Evans to play both roles. If Steve Rogers survives the next two Avengers movies, however, perhaps Deadpool will get a chance to refer to Evans’ previous Marvel work as the actor stands next to a new Johnny Storm.
