Marvel Studios hosted a reunion unlike any other in Atlanta last month. The stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe came together to celebrate the upcoming 10th anniversary of the shared universe that all other studios in Hollywood wish they had. During the event, Thor: Ragnarok co-writer Craig Kyle captured an incredible photo featuring the majority of the MCU’s most prominent female heroes.
Thor: Ragnarok‘s Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) was united with The Avengers‘ Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson, Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Black Panther‘s Okoye (Danai Gurira), Ant-Man and the Wasp‘s Hope van Dyne/Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), and Captain Marvel‘s titular Carol Danvers (Brie Larson).

This is probably the same group of women that Tessa Thompson led in a pitch to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige for an all-female Marvel team-up movie. That movie already needed to happen, but this photo should drive up the demand even more. Surely Feige can find room for this project in the 20 movies the studio has planned after Avengers 4.
You can see more photos from this unprecedented reunion in the latest Vanity Fair cover story.
Many of these women will be seen together and in character for the first time in Avengers: Infinity War (May 4, 2018) and Avengers 4 (May 3, 2019).
