The Simon Williams movie poster festival continues. Yesterday, director James Gunn officially revealed that Nathan Fillion’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cameo was limited to made-up movie posters featuring the actor as the Marvel Comics character Simon Williams, a.k.a. Wonder Man. The posters adorned a theater that didn’t ultimately make the cut in the St. Charles, Missouri sequence in the film.

Today, Gunn has revealed the second poster in this series with “Simon Williams” starring as Arkon, an actual character from the comics who debuted in The Avengers #75 in 1970. Created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, Arkon is the greatest of a warrior race from the Realm of Polemachus. He’s never appeared in live-action, but he’s made animated appearances in X-Men: The Animated Series and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

The first poster featured Fillion’s Williams as Tony Stark in a Steve Jobs-esque biopic. I can’t wait to see the next Simon Williams poster tomorrow!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is in theaters now. Obviously.
