Secret identities are hard to keep in first ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ clip

As Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 heats up the box office, Marvel Studios prepares for its next big hit. Tom Holland appeared at last night’s MTV Awards and brought the first clip from Spider-Man: Homecoming with him. This one is all about the struggles of maintaining a secret identity with Peter Parker (Holland) basically failing.

This is a great clip and it looks like Jacob Batalon is going to be a lot of fun as Peter’s friend and confidante, Ned. The footage plays right into the “coming of age” high school movie that director Jon Watts and producer/Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige have advertised.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is in theaters July 7.
