‘Avengers: Infinity War’ unites Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Star-Lord on Day 1

Marvel Studios sure knows how to hype a movie. Avengers: Infinity War has already been in production a few weeks, but Marvel takes us all the way from the introduction of the first Infinity Stone to the first day of production on Infinity War and its untitled follow up. January 23, 2017 will now be a proud date of trivia for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans.

The video confirms that the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Spider-Man will all unite. Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), and Spidey (Tom Holland) were all on set—in an awesome, alien environment—for the first day. It’s a dream come true for all MCU fans, including Holland.

This terrific trio was together for Downey’s Facebook Live video earlier this evening. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo also got in on the fun.

Avengers: Infinity War is due in theaters on May 4, 2018 with an untitled fourth Avengers movie to follow on May 3, 2019.
