The work of a superhero actor isn’t always glamorous. Just ask Tom Holland, who’s been putting in the grunt work for his starring role in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The film wrapped production several weeks ago and is currently making its way through postproduction. Earlier today, director Jon Watts shared a video of Holland doing some facial capture.

This facial capture will likely be used as reference for, or perhaps even be mapped into/onto some of Spidey’s digital action in the film. I wonder if they might even try to pull an Iron Man and include shots of Holland’s Peter Park inside his mask. Doubtful, but you never know.

Hopefully this is all part of an elaborate social media tease that is building toward the first trailer. There have been rumors that it will be released in time to accompany theatrical showings of Rogue One:  A Star Wars Story, so perhaps the wait will soon be over.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is due in theaters July 7, 2017.
