Atlanta, Georgia has been home to Spider-Man: Homecoming for the past few months. The city will play the part of New York in the film, but it can’t fulfill that role completely, so production has moved on to the real deal. Star Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) and director Jon Watts have been sharing posts about wrapping Atlanta and moving to New York this week.

New York always has been and always will be Spider-Man’s home, so it’s great that at least some production will take place there. I’m sure it will mostly feature exteriors that the crew couldn’t fake in Atlanta, but any piece of New York they can include is welcome.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be in theaters July 7, 2017.
