Marvel Studios plans for and carries out additional photography on all of its films. This November’s Doctor Strange is no different, but Marvel hired an unexpected writer from a familiar source to help pen the additional scenes. Community creator Dan Harmon was brought aboard after principal photography had ended, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Marvel Studios has pulled from the Community well before, having hired Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed and executive produced several episodes of the series, to direct Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. That worked out, which is why Marvel Studios is continuing its method of hiring creative voices who’ve made cool things rather than worrying so much about superhero or blockbuster experience.

Additional writers for the Doctor Strange script include C. Robert Cargill (Sinister) and director Scott Derrickson. Jon Spaihts (Passengers) shares story credit with Cargill and Derrickson.

Doctor Strange is in theaters November 4.
