Marvel Studios has released a new, extended TV spot for ANT-MAN with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) running through a series of pint-sized adventures. We get a little more information on what exactly Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) sees in Lang to make him worthy of being “The Ant-Man” before hearing from Lang’s pal, Luis (Michael Pena), for the first time.
Humor is to be expected from any Marvel film, but especially one for which Paul Rudd, Adam McKay, and Edgar Wright have all received various writing credits. Director Peyton Reed isn’t relying solely on laughs, however, as the film’s heart has been on display since the first trailer and we see more of it here. When Lang tells an offscreen antagonist, perhaps Daren Cross (Corey Stoll), to “pick on someone your own size,’ he appears to be in his daughter’s bedroom, suggesting this fight will come very close to home.
Marvel’s ANT-MAN is in theaters July 17.
