Marvel has made a new addition to CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, casting Daniel Bruhl (RUSH) in a yet to be announced role. According to Variety, Bruhl will be a villain in the film, but not the main antagonist. He could, however, be the big bad in DOCTOR STRANGE later in 2016.

Bruhl was outstanding in both INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS and RUSH, so mark this down as yet another quality addition to CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR and the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe. The third film in Marvel’s CAPTAIN AMERICA franchise already stars Chris Evans in the title role along with Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther. Producer and Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige perfectly sums up what Bruhl brings to the table.

With Daniel’s ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will be released on May 6, 2016.
