Entertainment Weekly has released the cover for its San Diego Comic Con preview issue with Marvel’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON getting top billing! This is our first official look at Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey, Jr.) latest Iron Man armor, Steve Rogers’ (Chris Evans) new Captain America costume, and the artificially intelligent, genuinely villainous Ultron. Now you’ll have something cool to gaze upon and read (again) while you’re in line for Hall H next week! The EW feature confirms that Ultron will come from the mind of Tony Stark who, with only the best of intentions, tries to create a world-saving solution that will give The Avengers a much needed break. Ultron is all about saving the planet; it is his definition of a perfect world that differs slightly from ours, according to director Joss Whedon.

Ultron sees the big picture and he goes, ‘Okay, we need radical change, which will be violent and appalling, in order to make everything better’; he’s not just going ‘Muhaha, soon I’ll rule!

He’s on a mission. He wants to save us.

From the heroes’ perspective, Ultron sounds like an awful antagonist, but from the perspective of this future viewer, he looks and sounds awfully compelling. For more information, hit the link at the top of the article and read this week’s Entertainment Weekly!
